A little more info

All:

Greetings! We have a little more to report now.

Today, our more detailed information and various forms paperwork arrived by DHL. As is the tradition, I made sure all aspects of the arrival of the package were properly documented :)

Kristin and I filled out the forms and I sent them back to our agency this afternoon. Translation of the documents is not complete, so we still don't know yet the details and circumstances of where our daughter was found. We are having our Chinese student over tomorrow night to translate some of the text for us and our agency in CT is also working to translate the documents. We will thus have some more information this weekend to share.

We do know that she is in a little town called Guiping in Guangxi province, which is in the south of China. Where we go to finalize the documents I almost due East of where we will go to get our daughter. Thus, we will be in a tropical / subtropical part of China the entire stay.

The landscape in the area where we will be is stunning from what I can see. If you want to see some shots of what this area looks like, go to the open flickr group link below. You won't need to be signed up to flickr to use it.

This shot by photographer Robert Lio exemplifies the most identifiable features of the region: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robertlio/376913026/

More information to come this weekend, so stay tuned!

73!

Matt
